From tutu to suits

Hello, dreamers!

I promised I will post this story somewhere around Christmas. But here I am, almost one month later, actually doing it. Some things didn't turn out as I wanted to, but it is better later than never.
Ladies and gentlemen, I present you the first person who will try to answer the following question: Where does the dream go?
The first person is a full-time dreamer. She never stops dreaming as she believes that this is the first and the most important step in order to accomplish everything she wants to. I would talk more about her, but it is quite hard. The first person that will answer the 3 questions is… myself. I might say that taking the pictures was a really fun experience! It has also proved me that I would have not been a good ballerina. So probably it was for the best.

1.What was your dream job as a kid? Tell us more about it.

I was about 4 when I started wishing to be a ballerina. My mum enrolled me to ballet classes so I was pretty sure that my dream will come true. I don’t know exactly how has my dream started; I just remember that I wanted to accomplish it really bad. I was dancing everywhere and waiting for the day when I could use toe-dancing for the first time. Even though I don’t remember when it has all started, I remember how it all ended. My mum was keep telling me that I have to eat in order to grow up and become a ballerina. I was a cute chubby kid! (I suppose I really wanted to make my dream come true as I was eating all the time) One day, my cousin and my auntie came visit my family and we were all having lunch. I clearly remember that moment as it was then when my dream started fading away. My cousin was a cute skinny kid. So my auntie decided to brag about how much I am eating and suggested him to take my example. Proud of myself, I decided to share with them the reason why I am eating so much: to grow up and become a ballerina. And then he replied: “You can eat as much as you want, but ballerinas are not fat.” How it all ended up? I didn't eat for about 3 days, as I really wanted to be a ballerina. A couple of years later I gave up on the ballet classes and I have decided to try new things.

     2.   What is your dream job now? Tell us more about it.

Since I was 9 I dreamed about becoming a journalist and having a career in television After I have started my BA degree, I changed up my mind so many times. I know for sure that I want to work in the media and communication field, but I am still not 100% sure of what exactly I would like to do. At the moment I dream of becoming a PR. I like communicating with people, organise events and help people. And in one way or another, this job has all the things I wish for. I must say that when I dream about my career as a PR, I imagine myself having many beautiful suits and being quite bossy and busy. I also like that this job is quite risky, even though some people might not realise that. And I love risky jobs; it means that it will never get boring.

3. Where does the dream go? What is happening to the dream of being a ballerina? Where is your current dream going?

I suppose that my dream of becoming a ballerina is quite unrealistic now. But it definitely didn't die. I am still sighting when I am watching ballet or films about ballerinas. I'm keep telling myself that my kids will practice ballet. So, the answer would be that my dream moved somewhere in the future, hopefully transferred to a close person of mine. Regarding my current dream of having a career a PR, I hope is going into the right direction as I am currently studying to become one. Probably this two occupations don't have much in common, so I can't say that my dream has transformed, it has completely change. But if I still carried on something from that dream is my will to work hard and never give up. And I am fine with only transferring this to my current dream.

Thank you for bearing with me until the end!

Dreamy days and nights!

Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.
